This one directly related to your frustration.

I would not be too hard on those that hold strong positions and take a stand.
I believe God honors that above a "luke warm" position. The luke warm are useless and serve no pupose.
Moses questioned God many times and God honored him by answering him.

A do nothing Christian would walk right past the battered and beaten man on the side road.
The great presentations and apologies of Christian heritage would never have been spoken without strong conviction.

Luther would never have challenged the RCC without conviction and confidence that he was right.

15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. To the best of my ability and wit...Dear Anonymous:

To the best of my ability and with the help of God I do preach with integrity.

And I see where you are coming from. However, I think we have confused God's law with civil law which are not the same thing.

"All the law and the prophets hang on these two commandments." I totally agree. The law hangs on love, not the other way around.

We must first love people, regardless of where they are whether they be a murderer, an adulterer, or worse, someone who pushes people away from God. We must love them and in our love, God, not us, begins to change their hearts.

I do preach on being in right relationship with God because I feel that once we teach people discipleship, teach them how to hear God speak, then God takes care of the rest.

God bless you.Yellow Sun Soapshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13434678812733919129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4210849652247264155.post-91287238408840460032012-08-07T12:48:22.029-05:002012-08-07T12:48:22.029-05:00I wonder if you follow your own advice in the pupi...I wonder if you follow your own advice in the pupit.
You will not preach on prostitution, drug abuse, sexual promiscuity, adultry, extortion, or any numner of other sins becuase you never know who could be offended in the pews.

Does the look of God in the murderers eyes stop you from counceling them on their sin?

There is nothing wrond with law.
The law kicks in when the conscience is no longer a deterrent. The law applies to all.
If God's law in the heart of man has been erased, the law becomes applicable.

Don't forget to read the last line.
It is the line that uphold th elaw and is usually ignored by persons against the law.

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

The law is not a bad thing.

d.
